Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services in the United States is seeking a skilled Field Operations Technician to perform restoration activities, preventative maintenance, and installation with a focus on customer service. You will install, repair, configure and test MACD moves on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment, and support optical, electrical, voice and data services.

OTDR testing is included. The role requires traveling with a company vehicle, working in varied environments, and complying with Ledcor

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently in a dynamic environment.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service experience to every client.
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de-escalation techniques.
• Perform on-site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment.
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity.
• Follow Ledcor's safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times.
