Job summary

Cable One operates Sparklight and is hiring a Field Technician to install services in residential and commercial properties, perform repairs, and relocate existing equipment. You will diagnose and repair reception issues using RF meters and related tools, ensuring proper signal levels and customer satisfaction.

Work involves learning and using test equipment, flexible scheduling including overtime/on-call, and supporting the company’s values through proactive service and customer education.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to learn to use RF, digital and Volt-Ohm meters and related equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime and be on-call as needed.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install customer service drops or outlets in residential and business properties.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot reception issues and repair customer equipment.
• Ensure proper signal levels at terminations on customer premises.
• Educate customers on using their equipment and suggest service upgrades when appropriate.
• Take on additional duties to support company goals and values.
