Job summary

Sparklight, a Cable One brand, is hiring a Field Technician to install customer service drops and outlets in homes and businesses, troubleshoot signal issues, and perform repairs. You’ll use RF and volt-ohm meters and learn to optimize upstream/downstream levels on customer premises.

You’ll engage customers, explain equipment use, and may suggest upgrades while upholding our values and working in various weather and locations. A valid license and strong safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Ability to learn RF, digital and Volt-Ohm meters to diagnose and repair issues.
• Aptitude to work overtime and be on-call as needed.
• Strong problem solving and customer-facing communication skills.
• Able to work in small/confined spaces and lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install customer service drops or outlets in residential and commercial properties.
• Use RF/digital meters to troubleshoot signal issues and achieve proper levels.
• Diagnose and repair reception performance from customer premises to equipment outputs.
• Educate customers on equipment use and suggest service upgrades as appropriate.
• Contribute to team goals and uphold Sparklight values in daily tasks.
