Job summary

Sparklight, a Cable One brand, is seeking Advance Technicians to install new customer connections, repair equipment, and troubleshoot complex networks. You will read maps, verify as-built documentation, splice cables, and test performance to ensure top-tier service.

Responsibilities include underground locate work, plant maintenance, and coordinating with local management. A valid driver’s license and a technical certificate or related experience are required, with training provided on the job.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or 3–4 years related experience.
• Must complete Sparklight Advanced Technician training within 6 months.
• Knowledge of FCC/ NEC/ OSHA / DOT regulations and local ordinances.
• Valid driver’s license for the employing state.
• Ability to work variable schedule including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Install new customer connections and repair equipment to maintain service quality.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in headend, HFC and fiber networks.
• Read and interpret system/network maps and verify documentation.
• Splice/terminate coaxial and fiber cables; install devices and test performance.
• Conduct underground locates and assist in plant extension cost estimation.
• Monitor plant for signal leakage and perform corrective actions as needed.
• Train system personnel as directed by local management.
