Job summary

Western States Equipment Company is hiring skilled technicians to diagnose and repair heavy equipment across multiple states. You will perform field and shop repairs, interpret diagnostic results, and adapt Caterpillar know-how to new models.

Overtime and overnight work may be required, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service. You must have a high school diploma or GED, plus an Associates or technical training; a current CDL with air brake and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree or technical training preferred.
• Five years experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment.
• Must own required tools and have a current CDL with air brake and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conducts machine performance and diagnostic tests and decides repair scope.
• Repairs and troubleshoots Caterpillar systems and new equipment models.
• Performs field and shop repairs, including overtime and overnight assignments.
• Maintains accurate service reports and communicates with customers about issues and plans.
