Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician D to support FAA facilities in the ZNY airspace. You will install, repair and test equipment at customer sites, travel as needed, and maintain tools and inventory while coordinating with NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk to resolve issues. A clearance may be required.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with extensive related experience or an associates with 4+ years. Strong reading of drawings and on-call flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for each specific program/system (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS and others) L3Harris supports for the FAA.
• Install, repair, configure, test and complete preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment at the customers’ remote locations.
• Able to work remotely in a scheduled and on-call capacity to various customer locations within your assigned area.
• Occasionally travelling to remote sites outside your assigned area may be needed to assist with FAA needs.
• Read/understand/follow equipment drawings and task orders.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory and personal or company vehicle.
• Be proactive and prepared for assigned tasks prior to dispatching.
• Work with NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk over the phone on resolving field issues.
• Obtain FAA Public Trust or U.S. Government Security Clearance.
