Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Syracuse, NY seeks a Field Technician C to provide hands-on support across multiple programs, including FAA-related deployments. You will install, repair, test, and maintain diverse equipment at customer sites and coordinate with NOCC, SAC and Helpdesk to resolve field issues.

The role requires reading drawings, documenting activities, and working flexible hours, including on-call shifts, with travel to remote locations within the region.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience, or an Associates degree with 2+ years related experience.
• Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain FAA security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for programs and systems (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS and others).
• Install, repair, configure, test and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customer sites.
• Travel to remote locations within the assigned area; on-call as needed.
• Read, understand and follow equipment drawings and task orders.
• Maintain logs, notes and documentation of field activities.
• Coordinate with NOCC, SAC and Helpdesk to resolve field issues.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, parts, and vehicle; ensure readiness for dispatch.
• Work extended hours on-call to meet customer needs.
