Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician for the FAA-focused Field Services organization, providing field support and remote diagnostics. This role supports FAA contracts across multiple programs and requires working from customer sites and occasional travel.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or an associate degree with relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain FAA security clearance. On-call hours and physical tasks are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License, and a satisfactory driving record, as conditions of initial (and continued) employment.
• This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain an FAA security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for FAA programs (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS and others) and field services.
• Install, repair, configure, test and perform preventive maintenance on equipment at customer locations.
• Work remotely/on-call and travel to customer sites within the assigned area as needed.
• Read, understand and follow equipment drawings and task orders.
• Maintain tools, test equipment and inventory; document activities and communications with NOCC, SAC and Helpdesk.
