Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking an experienced Service Technician – Commercial Generators to maintain and repair contracted and non-contracted generator and power distribution equipment. The role includes providing technical support to customers on operations and maintenance aspects.

The position expects candidates with extensive field experience across generator systems, ATS, switchgear, loadbanking, and advanced engine diagnostics. Opportunities for career advancement are available with training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of field experience for Level II; 6+ years for Level III; 10+ years for Level IV in servicing generator systems.
• Experience with 500kW+ generator systems and related equipment.
• Able to read schematics and wiring diagrams to diagnose electrical issues.
• Operational understanding of Automatic Transfer Systems (ATS).
• Proficient with Woodward, Beckwith, PLC equipment in advanced electric controls environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and repair of generator and power distribution equipment.
• Provide 24x7 on-call services as required.
• Coordinate and manage on-site subcontractors.
• Maintain company vehicle and on-site tools.
• Provide technical support to customers on operations and maintenance.
