Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, is seeking a Service Technician for Commercial Generators to maintain and repair generator and power distribution equipment and to provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance needs.

The role requires field experience with generator systems, ATS, and electronic controls, plus the ability to read schematics. Travel up to 25% and ongoing training are expected.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required; related military or field experience acceptable.
3 years field experience servicing generator systems incl. 500kW+; preventative maintenance; basic controls retrofitting; ATS repairs and loadbanking.

Responsibilities

Daily travel with independent work structure.
Provide 24x7 on-call service as required.
Maintain equipment, tools, and instruments; perform preventive maintenance on contracted equipment.
Coordinate on-site subcontractors and manage on-site safety and documentation.
Provide technical support to customers and maintain technical documentation.
