Job summary

Hawkins Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Technical Sales Representative (Route Sales) to own a territory, manage a field schedule and work directly with customers to deliver solutions, not just products.

Paid, hands-on training accompanies a strong base pay with commission opportunity. Workdays are typically Monday through Friday with long days and occasional overnight routes; travel is within the territory while in-field duties include sales, service and equipment care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL Class B with Hazmat endorsement (21+).
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
• Strong communication skills and follow-through.
• Prior sales experience or willingness to learn.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Physically able to lift 50 lb frequently and 75 lb occasionally.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Call on existing and new customers to grow business through sales and technical support.
• Develop productive relationships with customers.
• Deliver chemical products safely using the company truck.
• Provide hands-on service of equipment; inspect, repair and adjust as needed.
• Support branch operations including warehouse duties.
