bioMérieux seeks a Field Systems Engineer to service instruments across Georgia and nationally. The role involves installations, maintenance, repairs, and customer training with occasional overnight travel and on-call rotations. Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and scheduling skills are essential.

You will participate in extensive product training and collaborate with sales, applications, and service teams to drive revenue and ensure top-tier customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related field.
• 2+ years troubleshooting/electrical/electromechanical systems experience required.
• Education substitution: 6+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades and repairs.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend 6–9 weeks of product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO offices within the first year.
• Travel for customer visits with occasional overnight stays and national travel as needed.
• Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotation; local phone availability and potential travel.
• Complete service work orders, QA checklists and internal training on time.
• Maintain calendar and submit travel expense reports to avoid penalties.
• Manage fleet vehicle, spare parts inventory and equipment per policy.
• Collaborate with sales and applications teams to improve customer experience.
• Represent bioMérieux professionally and support trade shows as needed.
