Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across a national territory and beyond, remotely with minimal supervision. You will install, maintain, and repair complex instruments, travel up to 90% domestically, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure top-tier customer support.

You will build customer relationships, promote service agreements, and collaborate with Sales and Applications to expand service capabilities while upholding quality and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years troubleshooting/repair of electro-mechanical/electronic systems.
• Driver's license required.
• Travel up to 90% domestically.
• Field service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
• Promote service agreements and identify cross-functional sales opportunities.
• Drive field service revenue and equipment moves.
• Attend product training in Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO within the first year.
• Travel for customer visits with overnight stays; participate in on-call rotation.
• Complete work orders and QA checklists; maintain schedules and expense reports.
• Follow vehicle policies and manage spare parts inventory and equipment.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Customer Service to improve service capabilities.
• Represent bioMérieux professionally and perform other duties as assigned.
