Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. in Minnesota seeks a Survey Technician for a 3-month DOD SkillBridge immersion, working with experienced crew chiefs in the field to apply survey skills on real projects.

Based out of our Chaska and Oakdale offices, you will assist with boundary surveys, construction staking, topo surveys, and GPS data collection while gaining hands-on experience with Trimble and Robotic Total Station equipment, in collaboration with staff, landowners, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Must be a military service member with 180 days of service or fewer remaining before separation date.
• General knowledge of land surveying and AutoCAD drafting is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and own transportation; willingness to travel for field work.
• Ability to work outdoors in extended conditions and rugged terrain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with boundary surveys, construction staking, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, and GPS data collection.
• Work on construction staking in field settings.
• Gaining experience with Trimble, Robotic Total Station, and GPS equipment.
• Interact with staff, landowners, contractors, and subcontractors.
