Bolton & Menk, Inc. is offering a DOD SkillBridge Survey Technician opportunity based in Fargo or Bismarck, ND.

This 3-month immersive program pairs you with seasoned crew chiefs to apply newly learned surveying skills on real projects while you transition from military service. The role emphasizes field work with boundary and ALTA surveys, GPS data collection, and construction staking, using Trimble and Robotic Total Station equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Military Service Member with 180 days of service or fewer remaining before separation date.
• Able to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain.
• General knowledge of land surveying and AutoCAD drafting preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and own transportation; travel may be reimbursed; MVR check will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with boundary surveys, construction staking, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, and GPS data collection.
• Contribute to construction staking activities.
• Gain experience with Trimble, Robotic Total Station, and GPS equipment.
• Interact with staff, landowners, contractors, and subcontractors.
