Job summary

North Country Business Products is seeking a Field Support Technician in Madison, WI. You will provide hands-on, on-site support for grocery and hospitality tech, including checkout lanes, payment systems, and retail hardware.

Company vehicle provided and 100% employee-owned after six months through ESOP. Responsibilities include installing systems, troubleshooting hardware/software, and traveling to client sites to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must Have: Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Self-motivated problem-solver who can troubleshoot issues independently.
• Networking fundamentals - understanding of Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, IP addresses, routers, switches, and connectivity issues.
• Comfortable providing hands‑on technical support at client locations.

Responsibilities

• Learn POS systems through our training program.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues on-site and remotely.
• Install and deploy retail systems and travel to client sites (vehicle provided).
• Lead installation projects from delivery through documentation.
