Job summary

ZEISS Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Field Support Engineer II to install, repair, upgrade and maintain ZEISS Meditec instrumentation in a designated field service territory. You will represent ZEISS at customer sites and strive for high customer satisfaction, managing inventory, tools, and equipment per policy.

The role requires 3+ years in Electronics/Optics/Medical Field Service, a relevant BS, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of related experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service.
BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology and related fields preferred.
A+ and Net+ certification preferred.
Must be self-directed, able to work independently with limited management oversight.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to pass required training to service fine mechanics and optics.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair designated products within an assigned service territory, including preventive maintenance, installations and upgrades per training and guidelines.
Schedule, verify and modify customer visits based on needs and potential impact to patient care.
Submit field service reports daily and expense reports weekly.
Maintain spare parts inventory per policy and return parts as designated.
Promote and retain service agreements to support revenue growth.
Interface with customers professionally and calmly.
