Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Field Support Engineer II to install, repair, upgrade and perform preventive maintenance on designated Carl Zeiss Meditec instrumentation in a field service territory. You will represent ZEISS at customer locations and strive for high customer satisfaction.

The role requires a BS in Electronics/Engineering or related field, 3+ years of experience, travel (domestic and international), and the ability to manage equipment and reports with diligence. A+/Net+ are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service.
• BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair designated products within an assigned service territory, including preventive maintenance, installations and upgrades.
• Schedule and verify customer visits, assessing needs and potential financial impact.
• Submit field service reports daily according to procedures.
• Submit weekly expense reports per policy.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and return parts as required.
• Support revenue growth through service agreements.
• Interface with customers professionally and calmly.
• Instruct customers on operation and maintenance of equipment.
