Job summary

ZEISS Group in the United States seeks a Field Support Engineer II to install, repair and upgrade ophthalmic diagnostic instruments across multiple territories. You will travel extensively, perform preventative maintenance, and represent ZEISS Meditec professionally at customer sites nationwide.

Applicants should have 3+ years in electronics/optics service, a BS in Electronics or related field, and be able to work independently with 100% travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in electronics, optics or medical field service with travel.
• BS in Electronics, Engineering or related field preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mobile Service Delivery: Diagnose and repair designated products across service territories with travel, performing installations, upgrades and preventative maintenance.
• Dynamic Territory Management: Schedule and verify customer visits across large regions, traveling to assess needs and impact on patients.
• Remote Documentation: Complete field service reports from customer locations per procedures in the Field Service reference database.
• Travel Expense Management: Submit weekly expense reports for travel costs per company policies.
• Mobile Inventory Management: Maintain spare parts inventory while traveling and manage parts return per policy.
• Territory Growth: Promote and retain service agreements through customer visits.
• Professional Customer Interface: Interact with customers professionally across diverse locations.
