Job summary

ZEISS Group is seeking a Field Support Engineer II in the Boston, MA area to install, repair, upgrade and maintain Carl Zeiss Meditec instrumentation with minimal supervision. You will represent ZEISS at customer locations, ensuring high customer satisfaction and proper handling of company assets.

Requirements include a minimum of three years in Electronics/Optics or Medical Field Service, a BS in a related field, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service.
• BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certification preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-service orientation.
• Self-directed, able to work independently with limited oversight.
• Good verbal and written communication and computer skills.
• Ability to complete required training for equipment service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair designated Zeiss Meditec products in a service territory.
• Schedule and manage customer visits, assess needs and impact on practice.
• Submit field service reports daily and expense reports weekly.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and return items per policy.
• Support revenue growth by promoting service agreements.
• Interact with customers professionally and professionally.
• Instruct customers on operation and maintenance of equipment.
