Job summary

Schindler Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Field Superintendent for New Installations to oversee elevator installation projects, lead a 12–20 technician team, and ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction across all phases.

You will coordinate schedules, manage unions, support sales and project managers, and mentor staff while upholding safety standards and company processes. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of leadership in elevator or construction are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in relevant field (elevator/construction).
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience in elevator or construction.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 12–20 field technicians and ensure safety and quality.
• Coordinate schedules, site readiness, parts ordering and payroll.
• Monitor progress and drive efficiency with site visits.
• Manage manpower with unions and resolve staffing issues.
• Support sales and project management with bids and progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and company standards.
