Job summary

Schindler Group in Dallas seeks a Field Superintendent for New Installation to lead a 12–20 technician team, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time project delivery. You will coordinate schedules, manage materials, and liaise with unions while supporting sales and project management in bid reviews and progress meetings.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years of leadership in elevator/construction environments, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in relevant work experience in the elevator industry, construction industry or related field experience
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience or elevator industry experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage sensitive employee relations with proven leadership skills
• Proficiency in MS Office suite
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing tradespeople
• Flexibility to be on call

Responsibilities

• Lead and build a high-performing, safe team of field technicians by enforcing quality and safety standards
• Coordinate daily project schedules, site readiness walkthroughs, parts/material ordering, and payroll accuracy
• Monitor installation progress and drive efficiency through site visits and communication
• Manage manpower levels with union representatives, resolving staffing issues
• Support sales and project management with bid estimates, progress meetings, and issue resolution
• Ensure all projects meet contractual, company, and safety requirements
