Schindler Elevator Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a Field Superintendent for New Installation to lead a 12-20 person field team, ensuring safety standards and coordinating schedules, materials, and payroll to keep projects on track.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive elevator/installation experience, and the ability to work with unions and multiple stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent in relevant work experience in elevator/ construction fields
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience or elevator industry experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage sensitive employee relations with proven leadership
• Proficiency in MS Office suite
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing tradespeople
• Flexibility to be on call
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead and build a high-performing, safe team of 12-20 field technicians by enforcing quality and safety standards
• Coordinate daily project schedules, job site readiness walkthroughs, parts/material ordering, and payroll accuracy
• Monitor installation progress and drive efficiency through site visits and communication
• Manage manpower levels in partnership with union representatives, resolving staffing issues
• Support sales and project management teams with bid estimates, job progress meetings, and complaint resolution
• Ensure all installation projects meet contractual, company, and safety requirements
