aizoOn USA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our growing field service team. This entry-level role provides paid on-the-job training, on-site installations, and maintenance of complex electrical and electronic equipment across North America.

You will travel extensively, read schematics, use multimeters and oscilloscopes, and work independently to deliver excellent customer service. This is a great start for a long-term career in field service engineering.

Qualifications

  • Background in construction, industrial maintenance, mechanical or electrical fields.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, low-voltage wiring, and electronic equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and manuals.
  • Experience with diagnostic equipment and testing devices.
  • Comfort with independent work and good communication with customers.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Field Service Engineer to join our growing field service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical or industrial maintenance background who enjoys working independently, travelling, and solving technical challenges.

In this role, you will provide on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical and electronic equipment at customer sites across the United States and Canada. You'll play a key role in ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while delivering outstanding customer service.

This is an entry-level position with paid on-the-job training, making it ideal for candidates looking to build a long-term career in field service engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems in industrial environments.
  • Perform on-site installation, maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Use diagnostic and testing equipment, including multimeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic testing tools.
  • Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools and soldering equipment.
  • Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate job documentation.
  • Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly with customers while providing excellent service.
  • Follow company safety procedures and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
Skills & Experience

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • A construction, industrial maintenance, mechanical, or electrical background.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, low-voltage wiring, and electronic equipment.
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and other testing devices.Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Experience using common hand tools, drills, saws, ladders, and related equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and software troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Travel Requirements

This position involves extensive travel throughout the United States and Canada.

The successful candidate must:
  • Be willing to travel by air and drive long distances.
  • Be comfortable being away from home for multiple weeks at a time.
  • Hold a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Hold a valid Michigan Driver's Licence.
Physical Requirements
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts.
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs (34 kg) regularly throughout the day.
  • Comfortable working in industrial and construction environments.
  • Willing to wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Obtain OSHA 40 certification (required).
