Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline preferred; equivalent industrial field service experience will be considered.
  • Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills with industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to independently diagnose electrical and mechanical failures.
  • Experience servicing industrial machinery, automation systems, or capital equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Travel extensively within the United States and Canada to support installations and service requirements.
  • Install, commission, and verify operational readiness of industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.
  • Conduct corrective maintenance and emergency service repairs; minimize downtime.

Field Service Engineer

Overview

HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned Field Service Engineer to join one of our valued client partners. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an electromechanical professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems, traveling extensively, and working directly with customers in manufacturing environments.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical representative at customer facilities throughout the United States and Canada, supporting advanced industrial manufacturing equipment through installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer training. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada to support customer installations and service requirements.
  • Install, commission, and verify operational readiness of industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance programs that maximize equipment reliability and performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation-related equipment issues.
  • Conduct corrective maintenance and emergency service repairs while minimizing customer downtime.
  • Support equipment startups, customer acceptance testing, and production validation.
  • Document service activities, technical findings, repair recommendations, and equipment performance.
  • Build professional relationships with customer maintenance teams, engineers, and production personnel.
  • Participate in machine testing, equipment trials, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety, professionalism, and technical excellence while representing the organization in the field.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline preferred; equivalent industrial field service experience will also be considered.
  • Strong electromechanical troubleshooting skills involving industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to independently diagnose electrical and mechanical failures.
  • Experience servicing industrial machinery, automation systems, or capital equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 60–80% throughout the United States and Canada.
  • Ability to complete initial onboarding and technical training in Smyrna, Georgia.
  • Valid passport or ability to travel internationally into Canada.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel by air and automobile.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PLC troubleshooting and/or programming experience using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting industrial automation, capital equipment, robotics, or manufacturing systems.
  • Background in packaging, plastics, converting, processing, or high-speed manufacturing industries.
  • Previous equipment commissioning and startup experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical controls, motors, sensors, drives, and HMIs.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish or English/French.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple customer sites and travel schedules.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 annual base salary
  • Additional Earnings: Overtime pay, travel pay, annual performance bonus, and significant earning potential through extensive field assignments.
