Powell Global Services is seeking a field service technologist to install, commission, and maintain AC/DC switchgear and associated control systems across the US and Canada. You will lead on-site tasks, coordinate with customers, and ensure safety and documentation standards are met.

Expect extensive travel (up to 85%), hands-on testing (megger, Hi-Pot, insulation), and collaboration with fellow technicians to complete repairs, retrofits, and upgrades on Powell equipment in industrial

Formación

• Minimum 2+ years as electrical/breaker technician (shop or field).
• Familiar with ANSI/IEEE C37 switchgear and conductor ampacities.
• Ability to generate accurate reports and explain anomalies.
• Knowledge of Ohm's Law and AC/DC theory.

Responsabilidades

• Install and commission switchgear and power control rooms.
• Perform insulation/Hi-Pot/torque tests and verify mechanical/electrical functions.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade Powell equipment.
• Maintain thorough documentation and reports for customers and management.
