Job summary

Powell Service Division is seeking an Associate Field Service Technician to support installations, preventative and corrective maintenance of Powell switchgear across the US and Canada. You will join a team that values problem-solving, communication, and safety, with opportunities to work on diverse projects and travel extensively.

The role offers on-site fieldwork, hands-on training, and a path to further responsibilities within Powell’s service network.

Qualifications

• Two+ years as a shop and/or field electrical/breaker technician.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Powell's safety and quality standards.
• Complete site documentation in a timely manner (time sheets, service/repair orders, materials used, reports).
• Provide clear communication of work schedule to Field Operations Scheduler and District Service Manager.
• Maintain flexible hours, with overtime and weekend support.
• Travel up to 85% of the year.
• Coordinate with project management, customers, vendors and labor support.
• Assist with installation, maintenance, testing, and retrofits on Powell switchgear and power control rooms.
