Job summary

Powell is seeking a Field Service Technician to ensure safe, high-quality Powell equipment across the US and Canada. You will install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot switchgear and power control rooms, collaborating with teams and customers.

Office support provided; after qualification, a company vehicle, tools, laptop and expense card are supplied. Willingness to travel up to 85% and perform overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Field service tech with electrical focus and safety awareness.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and basic test reports.
• Experience with switchgear, power control rooms or similar equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 85% and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Powell’s safety and quality standards.
• Complete site documentation such as time sheets and service orders.
• Communicate work schedule with Field Operations Scheduler and DistrictManager.
• Maintain flexible hours, overtime and weekend support.
• Travel up to 85% of the year.
• Follow SOPs, documentation, safety processes and protocols.
• Coordinate with project management, customers, vendors and labor.
• Support manufacturing team and oversee small crews on projects.
