Job summary

Xylem is hiring a Level 1 Field Technician in the United States. You will perform start-up, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of submersible pumps and control panels at customer sites.

Travel is daily with up to 50% overnight stays; PPE required in industrial environments. We offer a full benefits package including 4 weeks PTO for hourly roles, medical/dental/vision, retirement savings with company contribution, paid time off, parental leave, and tuition

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred.
• Electrical and mechanical inclination.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
• Communicate technical information clearly.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices.

Responsibilities

• Start-up and commissioning of projects and preventative maintenance.
• Basic submersible wastewater pump and control panel troubleshooting.
• Interact with customers on site.
• Operate and maintain service truck with crane and out-riggers.
• Keep accurate records in work order system.
• Follow safety protocols and work in a team or independently.
