Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Level 1 Field Technician to start-up and commission projects, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot submersible wastewater pumps at customer sites. Training will be provided and interaction with customers is expected.

The role involves daily local travel, occasional overnight stays, and working outdoors in an industrial environment with PPE. Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of technical work experience; 1 year preferred.
• Electrically and mechanically inclined; strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair and test submersible wastewater pumps.
• Troubleshoot electrical control panels.
• Assist with start-ups, emergency call-outs and site visits.
• Maintain safe work environment and documentation in work orders.
• Operate service truck and industrial equipment.
