Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site field service at customer sites, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and diesel equipment and conducting preventative maintenance while ensuring safety and efficiency. The role involves travel, some overnight stays, and strong customer communication.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of technical experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to obtain required clearances.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of technical work experience; 1 year preferred.
• Willingness to travel locally with overnight stays as needed.
• Ability to obtain customer clearances (TWIC, DISA) and DOT Medical Card.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe working environment on customer sites.
• Perform field service activities including troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and diesel equipment.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with customers to resolve safety or operational issues.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication of technical information to customers.
