Job summary

Xylem is actively seeking a Field Service Technician to perform field service activities at customer sites, troubleshoot and service mechanical, electrical, diesel, and related equipment, and manage preventive maintenance. You will identify safety concerns, maintain parts inventories, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver reliable solutions.

The role requires travel to customer sites, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or with supervision,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of technical work experience; 1 year preferred.
• Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.), as applicable.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card, if required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture within the organization and at customer sites.
• Perform field service, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair activities on equipment and systems.
• Identify and address safety concerns involving Company- and customer-owned equipment.
• Maintain appropriate parts inventory and ensure Company property is properly cared for.
• Demonstrate a high-impact culture through innovation, accountability, and empowerment.
• Work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with customers, coworkers, and other stakeholders.
• Communicate technical information clearly and professionally with customers and internal teams.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
