Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Level 1 Field Technician to perform start-up, commissioning, preventative maintenance, and basic troubleshooting on submersible wastewater pumps at customer sites. The role includes travel, PPE, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include evaluating pumps, wiring panels, and supporting start-ups with supervision as needed. Valid driving records and ability to travel up to 50% are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0 to 2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred.
• Electrically and mechanically inclined.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
• Comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, and test submersible wastewater pumps.
• Basic troubleshooting of electrical control panels.
• Assist with start-ups and emergency call-outs.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment at customer locations.
• Accurate record keeping in the work order system.
• Operate service trucks and equipment as required.
