Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Field Service Technician Level 1 to perform start-up, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for submersible wastewater pumps at customer sites. Training will be provided and some travel is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred.
• Electrically and mechanically inclined with troubleshooting ability.
• Able to comprehend technical information and communicate clearly.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, and test submersible wastewater pumps and related components.
• Basic troubleshooting of electrical control panels.
• Assist with start-ups and emergency callouts.
• Operate and maintain service truck with crane and out-riggers.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain clean record keeping in the work order system.
