Job summary

CompucomStaffing, a division of CompuCom Systems, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support Wytheville, VA and surrounding areas. The role requires a self-starter with strong customer service and effective communication to deliver high-quality technical support.

The technician will travel a daily route, resolve ServiceNow tickets, troubleshoot hardware and software across multiple OS, install and service POS systems and network equipment, and document all work with detailed notes.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively while delivering high-quality technical support.
• Professional, reliable, and able to manage tasks independently while maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a 25 to 100+ mile radius daily along a designated route.
• Resolve assigned ServiceNow tickets.
• Support IT and data-related issues, performing triage, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software across Windows OS, macOS, Linux/Unix.
• Install, diagnose, and repair POS systems, PCs, printers, thin clients, servers, and network switches.
• Understand AC/DC and backup power concepts.
• Document all work, close tickets daily, and provide detailed notes.
