Job summary

Compucom Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Tech II to provide on-site IT support for a national retail client. The role requires independent work, strong customer service, and the ability to troubleshoot diverse hardware and network issues across multiple sites.

You will travel within a defined region daily, perform repairs on hardware and peripherals, and document all actions in tickets. A valid license and safe driving are essential; remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• One year of field service or IT technical support experience.
• CompTIA A+ certification required.
• Driver's license required.
• Hardware knowledge (1 year) required.
• Networking knowledge (1 year) preferred.
• Cash recycler repair experience preferred.
• Net+ (CompTIA) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in physically demanding environments (lifting 25–40 lbs, bending, climbing, walking).
• Provide exceptional customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Work independently, manage time effectively, and document work performed.
• Travel daily within a radius of 25–150+ miles on assigned routes.
• Support multiple IT and data-related issues and resolve promptly.
• Document issues and resolutions and close tickets daily.
• Repair POS systems, Lexmark printers, access points, and thin clients as needed.
