Zund America, Inc. in Oak Creek, WI, is hiring a Field Service Technician I to install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on Zünd digital cutting systems across North America, with travel. You’ll provide remote support, document activities, and ensure timely service reports.

Qualifications

• Technical school education and/or one year of field service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting abilities.
• Critical thinking and real-time problem-solving with willingness to learn.
• Self-motivated, reliable, honest, and able to work independently under guidance.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% including overnight travel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of Zünd equipment at customer locations with minimal supervision.
• Provide timely, accurate telephone and remote technical support.
• Prepare and complete all service reports, warranty documentation, expense reports, and related tasks accurately and promptly.
• Document service activity and machine data in Salesforce CRM.
• Follow up on open service issues to ensure full resolution and proper documentation.
• Escalate complex issues to internal support resources as needed.
• Inspect returned parts, evaluate warranty claims, and process documentation.
• Learn and become proficient in Zünd software and digital cutting system operations.
• Train customers on proper use of equipment and software, on-site and remotely.
• Support trade shows, open houses, and in-house demonstrations, including occasional weekend travel.
