Job summary

ITW, via its Buehler division, seeks a Field Service Technician to perform remote and on-site service for servo-hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems across the Northeastern territory. You will be the technical expert and primary contact for post-sale support, diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent field experience with 3–5 years in electronics instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting
• Demonstrated adherence to safety standards and best practices
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Proficiency with hand tools, machine tools and precision measuring instruments
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional demeanor
• Willingness to work outside normal hours when needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Navision and CRM experience a plus
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the US up to 70%

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support via telephone and ticketing system
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Troubleshooting and full diagnostics of mechanical and electrical system failures
• Provide formal service quotes to customers
• Conduct full system testing and calibrations after repairs
• Manage service cases to meet KPIs and department metrics
• Coordinate travel schedules and expenses per ITW guidelines
• Support service growth within the region
