Job summary

Starrett Metrology Systems Division | Starrett Kinemetric Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair advanced metrology systems at customer facilities.

The role requires frequent travel and the ability to provide on-site and remote support and training. You will document service activities, maintain tools and inventory, and collaborate with Sales and Engineering to resolve issues while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair precision measurement equipment at customer facilities.
• Travel frequently, including overnight stays.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support and customer training.
• Complete service reports and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, calibrate, and validate advanced metrology equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and application problems.
• Train customers on equipment operation and software functionality.
• Prepare accurate service and time reports and maintain inventory.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Distributors to resolve issues.
