Job summary
Starrett Metrology Systems Division, part of L.S. Starrett Company, seeks a Field Service Technician to install, calibrate, and service precision metrology systems at customer sites across New England and neighboring states.
You will travel frequently, perform troubleshooting, train customers, and document service activities while upholding quality and safety standards. Strong electronics/mechanical skills and willingness to travel are essential.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Electronics/Engineering Technology or related field.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and ability to read schematics.
Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and validate advanced metrology equipment at customer facilities.
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete repairs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and application-related problems.
- Provide on-site and remote technical assistance and customer training.
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
- Travel frequently, including overnight stays, in assigned territory.
