Job summary

Syntegon Telstar NA is seeking a Field Service technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment across the West Coast. This role requires extensive on-site work, travel up to 75%, and hands-on expertise in mechanical and electrical systems within regulated environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years field service experience, PLC diagnostics basics, and the ability to read GMP documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical education or 5+ years of hands-on field service experience.
• Experience in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, food).
• Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, safe work practices.
• Basic PLC diagnostics and GMP documentation understanding.
• Valid driver’s license and passport.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, start-up, commissioning and service of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance and emergency repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot motors, pumps, valves, sensors, PLC I/O, HMIs and related components.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide equipment operation guidance and basic training to customers.
