Job summary

Syntegon Telstar NA is seeking a field service technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and service pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction and equipment reliability.

This on-site role requires up to 75% travel (including international), strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, GMP awareness, and the ability to read basic ladder logic; a technical background and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Technical education or 5+ years of hands‑on field service / maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities; safe working practices.
• Experience with industrial equipment in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, food).
• Basic PLC diagnostics and understanding of GMP documentation.
• Independent working style, strong communication skills, customer‑focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s licence and passport.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, start-up, commissioning, and service of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
• Troubleshoot motors, pumps, valves, sensors, heaters, PLC I/O, HMIs, and related control components
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions
• Support customer operations by providing equipment operation guidance and basic training.
