Job summary

Itape is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. You will ensure equipment uptime, support production needs, and deliver high-level technical service in the field.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong customer communication, and the ability to work independently while representing IPG at customer sites. Travel up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis at customer sites.
• Experience with packaging equipment is a plus.
• Must be able to read technical diagrams and manuals.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and minor automation issues.
• Provide on-site training to customer maintenance personnel as needed.
• Develop and follow preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Document service actions and complete work orders and reports.
• Coordinate with field service management on status and outcomes.
• Assist with software upgrades and configuration at customer sites.
• Support senior technicians on complex field service jobs.
