Job summary

Itape is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and repair IPG products at the Joliet, IL location. You will own customer problems until resolution, with responsibility for installations, maintenance, and on-site support.

Ideal candidates bring electrical/electromechanical knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work independently; travel may exceed 50% of a workweek, with occasional weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in technology preferred (mechanical/electrical/electronics).
• 3–5 years of related field service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate technical concepts to customers clearly.
• Travel for service tasks, sometimes overnight, up to 50%+.
• Maintain records of service performed and parts used.
• Support field operations and safety procedures.
