IPG is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations, ensuring uptime and meeting production needs. You will have hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, communicate with customers, and work independently while representing IPG in the field.

Travel up to 30% is required, with potential overnight trips.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and electromechanical systems with diagnostic ability at customer sites.
• Basic mechanical skills to disassemble/reassemble components safely.
• Experience with packaging automation systems is a plus.
• Proficient with PC applications for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the work week; valid driver’s license or passport required.

Responsabilités

• Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of IPG/Better Packages equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues using testing tools and manuals.
• Provide on-the-job training to customer maintenance teams as needed.
• Establish and execute preventive maintenance programs for assigned accounts.
• Document service actions, report concerns, and maintain accurate service records.
• Perform software upgrades on WAT units and other equipment when required.
• Support Senior Technicians on complex field service jobs and large installations.
• Carry out emergency repairs, customer training, and equipment audits as assigned.
