Job summary

OMECorp Genesis Business Systems seeks a Field Service Technician to maintain a fleet of office equipment and ensure high customer satisfaction through timely communication and proactive maintenance. The role requires local daily travel to customer sites and independent work with minimal supervision.

You will diagnose and repair electro-mechanical equipment, read schematics, and coordinate with the Service Manager to meet service goals while delivering reliable support and professional service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory.
• Technical vocational schooling desirable (electronics or electro-mechanical).
• Experience in printer repair or repair of electronic equipment.
• Strong communication skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Proven proficiency with electro-mechanical diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Knowledge of PC hardware, software systems, and network architecture.
• Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintains a full territory of equipment as trained.
• Resolve 95% of service calls without assistance after training.
• Read and interpret schematics; perform electrical troubleshooting.
• Communicate with customers about issues and resolutions.
• Maintain parts inventory and report usage.
• Complete administrative functions accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with team to meet department service goals.
• Inform Service Manager of performance issues and actions taken.
• Perform other duties as prescribed by the Service Manager.
• Interact effectively in a multi-functional organization and handle stress.
• Deliver superb customer service and diagnose non-technical descriptions.
