Job summary

Visual Edge IT is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This field-based position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of office technology - including copiers, printers, and related equipment - while delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industry experience preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting aptitude.
• Experience servicing office equipment such as copiers and printers preferred; Xerox, Ricoh, Kyocera, or HP experience a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic networking and computer systems.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and insurability (company vehicle eligibility based on driving record).

Responsibilities

• Maximize equipment uptime by responding quickly and completing effective, efficient repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure proper functioning of copiers, printers, and related devices.
• Diagnose technical issues using customer feedback, electronic data, and observations.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through clear communication and dependable service.
• Partner with clients, sales teams, and internal staff to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations.
• Accurately complete service documentation, including parts usage, call closures, and meter readings.
• Provide feedback to improve processes and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Some travel is required.
