Job summary

Acuative is seeking a Contract (1099) Field Service Technician to install and maintain networking hardware, telephony circuits, and retail technology systems across a New York area. The role requires hands-on hardware skills and the ability to work on-site with customers.

You will cover assignments within 50 miles of your designated area, perform site surveys, document work accurately, and travel to client sites with standard field tools and a positive customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• Experience with networking hardware and topologies.
• Familiarity with VOIP, PBX, and related telephony systems.
• Ability to read and follow detailed job documents.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check.
• Willingness to travel within a 50-mile radius of assignment area.

Responsibilities

• Installation and maintenance of networking hardware including routers, switches, and WAPs.
• Installation and maintenance of telephony equipment and circuits.
• Installation and support of retail technology systems – POS, Digital Signage, and Video Surveillance Systems.
• Circuit extensions and structured cabling.
• Site surveys and site audits.
• Accurate and timely submission of all job-related documents and deliverables.
• Installation of LEO satellite receivers, cables and hardware.
• Installation of Fixed Wireless Antennas, cables and hardware.
