Job summary

Stiles Machinery is seeking a Field Service Representative to install, startup, and train customers on our technology, while diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues in the field. You’ll document problems clearly and pursue improvements for reliability and performance.

The role emphasizes customer partnerships, training peers, and showroom support, with regional travel four days per week and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Two years of technical schooling in electronics or a related field, equivalent hands-on experience, a related associate’s degree, or a willingness to learn.
• Prior experience in CNC, PC-based controls, machine service, maintenance, or operation or completion of a Field Service training program.
• Associates or better.
• Maintenance or operation experience with woodworking machinery and technology.
• N/C, P/C, or maintenance experience.
• Mechanical experience.
• Military technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, start up, and instruct customers on technology represented by Stiles.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues in the field.
• Document work performed, problems encountered, and customer concerns clearly and promptly.
• Recommend improvements pertaining to reliability, performance, and long‑term operation.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and serve as a technical partner and problem solver, not just a service call.
• Assist in training customers and Stiles service representatives on proper equipment use and maintenance.
• Maintain showroom equipment and assist with customer demos as needed.
• Continuously develop your skills and knowledge of the technology you’re working on while working alongside vendor technicians and experienced Stiles team members.
• Regional travel averaging four days per week, with overtime and mileage reimbursement.
