Job summary

Waters is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service analytical instruments in regulated environments. You will maintain inventory, complete documentation, and support customers to ensure high-quality service standards.

Expect significant travel and on-site work, with a focus on safety and GMP compliance. Qualified candidates have 3+ years in field service, a technical degree, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher.
• 3 years' experience fixing instruments or components.
• Valid Driver's License with clean record.
• Prior Field Service Engineer experience.
• Experience fixing medical device instruments.
• Previous customer interfacing role.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with Mac and PC operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and service instrumentation with minimal supervision per ISO/GMP standards.
• Provide follow-up service by calling customers after service.
• Maintain car stock inventory, test equipment, tools, and data.
• Complete service documentation per GMP requirements.
• Manage travel expenses and site visits within guidelines.
• Report quality control and technical problems to the Service Center.
• Maintain company vehicle per fleet policy.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve customer issues.
• Promote BD standards of service and maintain professional conduct.
• Travel ~60% with 1–2 overnight stays per week.
